Position: Senior Mechanical Engineer

Location: Aberdeen,Scotland

Project: Alder

Rate: TBC

Duration: 12 Months

Duties/Responsibilities:

Originating and checking Mechanical Engineering deliverables for modifications and additions to topside process equipment and the package management of the delivery of the equipment.

Key Aims and Objectives



To have proven good working experience and knowledge of the specification and procurement of mechanical equipment.

Execute mechanical engineering activities with respect to Concept, Front End Engineering Development, Technical Specify and requisition equipment and packages through to delivery, installation and handover.

Work and co-ordinate with our client, internal departments and vendors.



Responsibilities



Responsible for assessing effectiveness of working practices and systems with a view to continuously improving.

Carry out work in accordance with AMEC and project Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality systems.

Maintain the required technical quality of work. Identify scope and schedule changes in accordance with Change Control Process.

Ensure that designs comply with the relevant procedures and regulations.

Ensure, as far as practically possible, that all assigned work is carried out in compliance with agreed budget and keep up to date with technical developments, National and International standards and legislative requirements related.

Prepare estimates and schedules and assist in their review.

Maintain good communication with the Client and visit Assets when necessary.

Encourage and provide lateral learning within the department and projects.

Achieve safety standards as required by the company and individual safety contracts.

Use of company and contract procedures.
