Offshore Structural Engineer (Oil & Gas)

Location: Sharjah, UAE

The Emirate of Sharjah is moments along the road from the better-known Dubai and has emerged as a top UAE destination for international workers and their families. This US-based international Oil & Gas engineering organisation has operated in the region for some years and boasts long-standing relationships with the leading Oil companies and operators. The purpose of the job is to design and select the following subsea equipment: Subsea structures: Manifolds, Templates, PLET/ PLEM, Subsea Distribution and Connection Systems, Subsea Trees, vertical and conventional, Well intervention systems.

Full details include:

* Designing permanent work as manifolds, templates, PLEMs, protection structures, spools, riser bases
* Following up design at subcontractors and fabricators
* Writing design briefs
* Advising and guiding junior engineers to design smaller work structures.

To apply for the position you will ideally have:

* An engineering degree from a recognised university
* Strong technical knowledge of design work.
* Minimum 8 years of experience as well as strong analysis skills (i.e. STAAD and ANSYS)
* Experience working internationally, preferably in the Middle East/North Africa region
