Offshore Construction Manager - Abu Dhabi

The Position

The Offshore Construction Manager (OCM) is an important member of the team. Duties will include but not be limited to;

  • Coordinate the safe and efficient execution of project operations according to Project procedures
  • Complying HSEQ policies
  • Manage the safe and effective execution of the project work-scope in accordance with approved operating procedures, including mobilisation, deck and subsea activities
  • Focus on critical path activities and awareness of parallel works
  • Comply with Management on change procedures
  • Overall responsibility (though not directly responsible) for Permit to Work systems.
  • Maintaining accurate logs of activities conducted during the shift period through interfacing with all departments
  • Conducting and/or participating in safety activities such as Tool Box Talks, Job Hazard Analyses, Management of Change, Risk Assessments etc.
  • Assist Deck Supervision where required with supervision of any on deck or quayside operations.
  • Participate in or lead, where appropriate preshift briefings with other Department Heads
  • Giving feedback and ensuring sign-off where appropriate to help Project Engineers to provide up to date information for Task Plans, project Inspection and Test Plan ITP Attend site office when required by Project Team

Requirements

To apply for this position you should have the following;

  • 12 years' experience in Oil & Gas construction activities
  • Offshore and/or Subsea experience
  • Background working on Vessels/Barges
  • Installation of pipelines and subsea systems
  • Maintainence of Vessles/Barges
  • Offshore structures experience would be desirable
  • B.Eng or B-Tech desirable
